EXPERIENCE

The Times Contract Photographer	Trenton, N.J. Sept. 1999 to June 2000
Photographed news, feature and sports assignments for daily newspaper. Shot sporting events that included Trenton's minor-league hockey, basketball and baseball teams, several Princeton University sports, and Rider University basketball.

The Citizen Photo Editor	Laconia, N.H. Dec. 1998 to June 1999
Supervised three-person photography staff. Oversaw all aspects of photo department, including ordering supplies and working with editors to determine photo coverage. Created new system for assigning photos, resulting in fewer missed assignments and scheduling conflicts. Reorganized negative filing system.

The Marion Star Staff Photographer	Marion, Ohio June 1998 to Nov. 1998
Photographed spot news, feature and sports assignments as part of three-person staff. Contributed to coverage of Ohio State University football games. Scanned, toned and color-corrected images.

The Republic Staff Photographer	Columbus, Ind. Jan. 1997 to May 1998
Photographed spot news, feature and sports assignments, including photo-only feature pages. Designed photo packages and wrote articles to go with them. Completed assignments for Parent Magazine and advertising department.

Piqua Daily Call Chief Photographer	Piqua, Ohio Sept. 1994 to Dec. 1996
Managed photography department. Determined photo coverage. Assisted with layout and design. Maintained lab and inventory. Managed photo intern program. Served as primary shooter for spot news, feature and sports assignments.

Salt Center for Documentary Studies Project Photographer	Portland, Maine Jan. 1992 to Sept. 1992
Completed photographic documentaries of various subjects relating to Maine culture. Handled every aspect of each project, from inception to completion, including interviews, writing, layout and design. Managed center's darkroom. Published work in Salt Magazine and a book, "Maine: A Peopled Landscape."
